French Quarter Fest 2013 had a record turn out of over 500,000 attendees and Timecode:NOLA was proud to program the 30 year festival’s first ever series of movie screenings to compliment the enormous music festival. French Quarter Fest wanted a program of films that celebrates local Louisiana music, history, and culture and partnered with Timecode:NOLA to find the best in local filmmaking.
In 2012 Timecode launched its first annual indie film festival FF ONE focused on cultivating the New Orleans filmmaking community by utilizing the creative energy of the city into a festival that connects filmmakers, professionals, students, and independent film organizations to help foster an emerging Louisiana film community and launching its first Joint Picture Project.
Timecode:NOLA seeks to empower all filmmakers and artists, especially those working in underground, experimental, and alternative filmmaking formats. Our Indie Film Fest FF 2 is September 19-22 2013 in New Orleans. Timecode:NOLA believes its indie film fest should encapsulate the spirit of its city and reflect the unique, gritty, and creative culture of New Orleans itself.
