What is the RxSm Film Expo?
Our mission is to provide an alternative venue for independent filmmakers to screen during one of the largest film festivals in the United States, ( festival name removed to avoid legal action) –RxSM happens simultaneously with the opening weekend of (name removed under duress), to give the thousands of cinephiles that come to the beautiful city of Austin, TX an alternative viewing experience. RxSM champions cutting edge and unique cinema and offers programming to the first time filmmaker that (NAME REMOVED YET AGAIN FOR THREAT OF LEGAL ACTION) may not have room in their programming for.
We are a filmmaker’s festival–founded by filmmakers, organized by filmmakers and programmed by filmmakers. We fight to maintain a voice for independents.
What is the Film Exchange?
ExChange is a multi-market screening network comprised of seven regional, US and International film festivals including Timecode:NOLA’s indie film fest! The best films from each festival will travel to all the the film festivals as part of the Film Exchange. This ways films have a life beyond a single festival without the need to for directors to put in their film into multiple festivals themselves.
